A rare, rather expensive wood with a great deal of figure in the form of burl eyes as well as potential swirls of color or multiple tones. The Fritz Kohl Veneer Mill from Germany stated in the text "Veneers, A Fritz Kohl Handbook," that this burl was one of the first woods used to decorate the interiors of Rolls Royce automobiles.
