These little beauties are our unique reproductions of traditional Dayak tribe "pear" weights, traditionally cast in bronze much larger and with immense weight. The antique set we have in our collection measure 2.75" long and weigh 135g each. Our silver reproductions measure 1.5" long and weigh just over 50g. These started as a hand carved wax which was cast and hand finished to a high polish. The wearing surface is just a hair over 8g, and although quite heavy for the size compared to other weights on the market, they are designed to mimic the originals in scale and are rather comfortable for those that enjoy heavy jewelry from 8g to 1" and beyond. Our piercer Cameron has a set and wears them in 1.5" lobes, but these are great little heavy weights for smaller lobes as well.
