Double flared, slightly domed face plugs made from a huge geode we purchased with a massive section of quartz matrix made up of thousands of tiny crystals. These pieces are beautiful but were a huge challenge to make. Because each plug is made up of tiny irregularly shaped quartz crystal fragments naturally fused together, they are very fragile and should be treated like glass. The pieces are largely clear, although you can't see through them because of the sheer number of crystals in the matrix. Some pieces have white agate or other small inclusions within. In natural sunlight many pieces have little iridescent rainbow areas from light bouncing around within the pieces.
