These gorgeous plugs are made from a very high quality, highly sought after wood called 'jeweler's lace' redwood burl - it features very high detail small burl eyes across the entire surface and gentle waves of grain throughout. We had a very small amount of this material, which we acquired from a collector of high end wood specimens in California, USA. This is all of the material we had, and this is all we'll make from it, so if you like these, grab them while we've got 'em! Wearing surfaces on these guys were pretty narrow to try and conserve material and squeeze the most out of what we had, so they vary between about 10mm and 11mm. The wood is very, very old - cut at least 80-100 years ago, and is extremely lightweight for the size.
